Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Strawberry Yuzu Margarita

Strawberry-led • bright citrus • lightly sparkling

Coral-pink Sparkling Strawberry Yuzu Margarita over ice with a yuzu-salt rim and dehydrated lime wheel on dark wood

Strawberry brings the fruit; yuzu and lime keep this margarita firmly on the citrus side. A short pour of soda adds bubbles without turning it into a tall drink. IMPOSTER Tequila supplies the tequila-inspired base, giving the two fruit mixers a cocktail context rather than letting them read as a strawberry soda. The result is a shaken margarita variation served over fresh ice, with a yuzu-salt rim and a dehydrated lime wheel. Make it for an early-evening drink before dinner, or serve it alongside a spread of tacos. Shake the still ingredients first and add the soda only after straining, so the finished glass keeps its sparkle.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz IMPOSTER Tequila
  • 0.75 oz Finest Call Single Pressed Lime Juice
  • 0.75 oz Yuzu Re'al
  • 0.5 oz Strawberry Re'al
  • 1 oz Premium Soda Water
  • Ice to fill the mixing tin and serving glass
  • Yuzu salt, for the rim
  • 1 dehydrated lime wheel, for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the glass

Use a little of the measured lime juice to moisten the outside rim of a rocks glass, then coat it with yuzu salt. Fill the glass with fresh ice.

Step 2: Measure the still ingredients

Measure IMPOSTER Tequila, the remaining lime juice, Yuzu Re’al, and Strawberry Re’al into a mixing tin. Fill the tin with ice. Keep the soda water aside.

Step 3: Shake and strain

Shake until the tin feels cold, then strain into the prepared rocks glass over the fresh ice.

Step 4: Top and garnish

Top with the measured 1 oz soda water. Garnish with 1 dehydrated lime wheel and serve immediately.

Why This Works With IMPOSTER Tequila

IMPOSTER Tequila is the spirit-inspired base of this recipe, not a substitute for the citrus or sweetener. Its 2 oz pour anchors the drink while lime juice and the yuzu mixer provide acidity and strawberry adds fruit and sweetness. Keeping the soda to the original 1 oz leaves those ingredients at the center of the glass. The method matters too: shaking blends the still ingredients, while adding soda at the end preserves carbonation.

Serving Notes

Use a rocks glass with a yuzu-salt rim. Rim the glass before filling it so the salt stays outside the drink.

Strain over fresh ice rather than reusing the shaking ice. Add soda last and serve immediately, while the drink is cold and carbonated.

Place the dehydrated lime wheel on the rim or on top of the ice. If preparing several drinks, measure the still ingredients first and shake each serving shortly before topping with soda.

Variations and Substitutions

No yuzu salt?

Leave the rim plain. The yuzu mixer still carries the citrus flavor; a different salt blend will change the finished garnish.

Fresh lime garnish

A fresh lime wheel can replace the dehydrated wheel. Keep it as a garnish rather than squeezing extra juice into the measured recipe.

Choosing a soda

Use plain, unflavored soda water. Tonic water or sweetened citrus soda changes the balance and is not a like-for-like replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I shake the soda with the other ingredients?

No. Shake only IMPOSTER Tequila, lime juice, yuzu mixer, and strawberry mixer with ice. Add the measured soda water to the glass after straining so it retains its carbonation.

Can I make this strawberry yuzu margarita in advance?

You can measure the still ingredients ahead of serving and keep them chilled. Shake with ice, strain over fresh ice, and add soda just before serving. Do not batch the soda into the mixture ahead of time.

Is the finished drink alcohol-free?

IMPOSTER Tequila is a zero-proof spirit-inspired product. Check the current labels and specifications for every mixer and garnish before describing the entire drink as alcohol-free. This recipe does not make an unverified alcohol-free claim for the finished drink.
